Haru Kuru Oni plot

In a village in northeastern Japan, islanders find a boy and girl on the beach. The two tried to escape the girl's arranged marriage so that they could marry each other. The couple washed up on the beach but are still alive. According to ancient traditions, the sea gods must now be calmed by throwing the two back into the sea. Will the couple be sacrificed to the sea gods, or is there something more excruciating on the agenda...
