Haha plot
Yoshida Tamiko's 8-year-old son Toshio has a brain tumor and will die if not operated on. Toshio's father was her second husband and she divorced him. After the death of her first husband, she inherited money, but her mother Yoshie confiscated it. She has intended this for the education of her brother Haruo and does not return the money. Instead, Yoshie Tamiko convinces her that she should only get married a third time. She comes up with candidate Tajima, who promises to pay for Toshio's surgery.
