Guru Nanak Jahaz plot

The film is based on a true 20th-century incident commonly known as the Komagata Maru Incident. It reveals a harrowing chapter in history, when a group of Indian Sikh immigrants arrived in Vancouver aboard a Japanese steamship called the Komagata Maru with 376 passengers from India. Canada, enforcing discriminatory immigration laws, denied entry to most of the passengers of Indian descent. After two months of legal battles and protests, the ship was forced to return to India.
