Girls' School plot
Peggy Donovan inherits from her late father an amount of $30,000. This amount was obtained unfairly when gambling. Peggy fears that Dave Vickers, her late father's partner, will harm her in order to claim the money for himself. She chooses to be safe and takes the legacy to her girls' school, which is run by Colonel Matthews. She plans to donate the money to the school's faculty, because it is not doing well financially there. Fellow student Lucille Farnsworth discovers that Peggy has a lot of money in her luggage and reports it to Matthews and also writes to the address on the package. The address turns out to be Vickers's and he forces Peggy to share the loot with him. Matthews learns that the money donated by Peggy was obtained through illegal gambling and informs the police.
