Italy, the eighties. The country is under the tyranny of the Sicilian mafia. After investigating judge Gaetano Costa is killed in an attack, the fight against organized crime seems lost. However, a man refuses to give up: Giovanni Falcone. This Palermo judge continues his investigation, risking his own life. The years of investigation, in which Falcone is helped by an informant, eventually leads to a monster trial in which more than three hundred mafia members are convicted, including the boss of the bosses. But the Cosa Nostra does not give up easily...
