Ghashiram Kotwal plot

Madhav Rao II ruled the Hindu Maratha Empire from 1774 to 1795, but is overshadowed by the political intrigue of Nana Phadnavis, an influential minister and de facto leader of the empire. During this period, the Maratha once again regained control of Northern India. Ghashiram is a newcomer to the city of Pune, but is treated badly by the Brahmins there and seen as an outsider. He decides to take revenge by using his daughter to take the position of police chief through Nana Phadnavis. As Ghashiram 'Kotwal', he rules with an iron fist and begins to abuse his power to terrorize the population.
