Genesung plot

Walter Friedel cannot finish his medical studies because of the outbreak of the Second World War. For a long time, in the tangle of war, he works unnoticed as a doctor in the name of the fallen Dr. Muller. Things take a turn for the worse when he recognizes his girlfriend from the war in the hospital in the wife of his patient Kerster, an invalid anti-fascist. She asks him to help her care for the refugee concentration camp inmate Ernst Mehlin. Now, years later, Walter Friedel suddenly finds himself in front of the police. For the public prosecutor, this is a clear case of fraud. However, the chairman of the board is Mehlin, who once helped Walter.
