Only one week left before the biggest concert of the famous band Shinsei Kamattechan will take place. This week, teenage Michiko is torn by a tough choice: will she play the final of a major Japanese chess tournament, or will she go to the concert her boyfriend gave her tickets to? Single mother Kaori works as a cleaner during the day and an erotic dancer in the wee hours and gets in trouble with the school of her son Ryota, who is obsessed with Shinsei Kamattechan. Meanwhile, the band has its own problems in the days before the concert.
