Gegege no Nyôbô plot
Nunoe (Kazue Fukiishi) has married the mutilated war veteran Shigeru (Kankurô Kudô) through an arranged marriage and fights his way through married life with him. Their marriage is tested by the grueling existence in post-war Tokyo and the attempts to make a living from Shigeru's artistically unique but unsuccessful drawings.
