Garasu no Tsukai plot

Ikeya, the owner of a small glass factory on the brink of bankruptcy, spends day and night polishing a huge lens that will be used in a new space telescope. He meets Yoko who is just about to take his own life by jumping off a bridge. Yoko's father was also a glassworker and she knows Ikeya's sub-manager, Yojiro, who has worked in her father's factory. Yoko has been secretly in love with Yojiro since they first met, but Yojiro is too busy saving Ikeya's business to worry about this. He has to deal with dubious creditors and has to do all kinds of jobs for them. When the creditors realize that the lens Ikeya is polishing is worth millions, they are also bewitched by the lens. Sincerely understanding Ikeya's passion for his work, Yoko tries to save the small glass factory with Yojiro and Ikeya.
