Garage Olimpo plot
The camera portrays the life of the young activist Maria, who lives with her Italian mother in a large dilapidated mansion. They rent out some rooms to earn some extra money. One of the tenants is Felix, who is chasing the beautiful but indifferent Maria. Felix works in a garage, or so he claims. Maria teaches children to read and write in a slum and she is also active in a small organization that stands up against the brutal military dictatorship. One day she is kidnapped at home in front of her mother by plainclothes military police and taken to Garage Olimpo. One of the many torture centers of the army, in the middle of Buenos Aires. Her first encounter with her interrogators is brutal, but she persists in silence. Then Félix comes in, for the next shift. He received the Maria case from El Tigre, the boss of Garage Olimpo. Fèlix is in a difficult situation, but promises to help her. Every act of Mary is aimed at survival, she is well aware that her only hope rests in the person who has been ordered to torture her. A curious and ambiguous bond develops between the two.
