Gansin plot
"A tyrant king, a treacherous subject, and a woman seeking revenge."
In 1504, in a wave of madness, King Yeonsan-gun has everyone involved in the death of his mother more than 20 years before, murdered. He then appoints his friend Soong-jae Im and his father So-hong Im as ministers. They are ordered to bring beautiful women to the palace for the amusement of the king, regardless of their marital status or social class. Dan-hee, the daughter of a country butcher, is such a beautiful woman and also a celebrated sword dancer. She is immediately liked by the king.
