Friends and Lovers plot
"Jim and Tom were friends. Claire and Jim were lovers. Then things got honest..."
Jim is a man with a secret. That has ensured that he no longer dreams and is lonely. He spends the days in a job that gives him no satisfaction at all. He also visits his father who only disapproves of him. And then he meets Claire. Jim loves her goodness and her easy way of life. Art is their common interest and they start dating. However, deep down, Jim doesn't dare to have a relationship with her, even when Claire confesses to being in love with him. This makes Jim feel even more lonely and isolated. Then, when his car breaks down, he meets the mechanic Tom in the garage.
