Freies Land plot
After the war, infinite numbers of refugees are on their way to find a new home. They now stand in the hall of a large mansion, waiting to receive their 'deeds of ownership' for parts of the land a lord had left behind after he fled. Among them is the young Jeruscheit, who had to bury one of her own children during her travels. Her husband is reported missing and until now she has had few prospects in her life. But then she discovers a way to live: work, build and help others. And maybe one day Jeruscheit will find her family...
