Italy, 19th century. Culinary talent Francesca Montorsi is causing a furore as one of the first female pasta makers. Her spaghetti, macaroni, penne and tagliatelle dominate the pasta market in Naples, winning the heart of a prince. Francesca's successor is her adopted daughter Nunziata.
