For the Honor of the Crew plot

Robert Brent and Dick Morgan, the former rich, the latter poor, are friends at a large university until they both fall in love with Viola Scott, a beautiful student. Morgan slowly begins to dislike Brent, but continues to pretend to be a friend. Both men are candidates for the varsity team, but Morgan loses his ambition, skips practices, and fails his exams. When Brent proves successful and is favored by Viola, Morgan's jealousy and hatred know no bounds.
