Footlights and Fools plot
"Mirth! Melody! Drama! Color!"
Fifi D'Auray, the sensation of 'The Sins of 1930' is actually Betty Murphy, who has been in love with the youthful gambler Jimmy Willet since she was a singer. However, she refuses to marry him until he has a job. The young and wealthy bachelor Gregory Pyne falls in love with Fifi and bribes his girlfriend Claire. She has to take Fifi to dinner. There, Fifi argues with him and feigns envy. To make amends with her, Gregory arranges a job for Jimmy Willet as the theater treasurer. But then Jimmy is charged with complicity in a robbery.
