Follow Your Heart plot

Ex-Marine David (Patrick Cassidy) heads out into the wide world to find himself. He ends up in a desert hamlet, where he takes up residence with Cloe (Frances Sternhagen) and her retarded son. She makes a sullen impression, but on closer inspection it turns out to have a heart of gold: Cloe takes care of a Vietnamese girl who has been left behind in the village.
