"They were everyday citizens who suddenly became unforgettable heroes."

In 1985 Delta Airlines Flight 191 is caught in a severe storm and crashes. A rescue operation is immediately launched and it soon becomes apparent that there are only 31 survivors who manifest themselves as true heroes as they try to save lives together.
