Fight for Justice: The Nancy Conn Story plot

Birmingham, Alabama 1982. On a night out, Nancy (Marilu Henner) and her boyfriend are attacked by a psychopath who deprives them of their freedom and drives them to a remote place. He messes around with his victims for a day and then leaves them for dead. Nancy survives, however. When the maniac hears this through the media, he still tries to kill her in the hospital, but is arrested instead. He gets a life sentence for his misdeeds, but a year later he escapes. Based on a true story.
