Visually one of the better episodes in which the sets were really thought about. Sleek, black, modern. Otherwise well acted - I think Daniel Kaluuya is a really excellent actor who can say a lot with a single look - and quite a nice idea. But you notice in everything that this is intended as a metaphor. And metaphors are allowed, as long as the actual world it takes place in had some form of credibility. And this movie didn't have that. There is no further explanation, but I could not go along with that closed space in which people lived, metaphor or not. And that doesn't do the film any good. 2.5*.

That's how I like to see it.

Always fun these kinds of science fiction films. Black Mirror has once again managed to positively surprise me. This is now my second experience, and so far I think it's a wonderful series. More episodes will undoubtedly follow.

Kaluuya's acting is convincing. He really knows how to portray a character here and never manages to do anything wrong that makes it painful. His role was very complicated, and once again he performed it almost flawlessly. Kudos for that.

The story itself is also fun to follow. You are thrown straight into it without any background and then as a viewer you have to figure out how it all fits together. The whole story is fun to follow, anyway I really like this kind of science fiction.

The satire is a bit strong, but it works in the end. Especially because these kinds of things often appear on TV, except that you now literally live in a TV. The satire does make something clear and that is what it should do.

Sometimes quite corny, but the hour passed quickly. I would have had absolutely no problem with this continuing for another half hour. That's how I always like to see them.

'Fun' dystopian technological setting. It's all put on a bit thick, both characters and environment. The idea with the credits is entertaining, as is the talent show story, which is smoothly ridiculed. I was a lot less impressed by the fact that it basically unfolds as a love story. Then cliché and predictability creep in, which contrasts sharply with the setting. That feels very lazy. It could have been a lot shorter anyway. Last shot quite strong; Is the view a screen again or is it real? It seems deliberately left out (just like the usefulness of cycling) and I'm okay with that.
