Fiamme sulla Laguna plot

During an admiral's assignment, a diver working in Venice is killed. His daughter Anna is left alone as an orphan. An old friend of her father offers his hospitality and takes her into his house. He has a son, a worker, who falls in love with the girl. At her father's funeral, however, Anna meets Luciano, the admiral's son, and love blossoms spontaneously between the two. When Luciano goes on a trip, she sees him hugging someone else and feels cheated. In her desperation, she decides to get engaged to the son of her father's friend.
