Fette Welt plot

Hagen Trinker leads the normal life of a young urban bum, somewhere between adventure and misery, freedom and addiction, comedy and tragedy. It is not his dream to return to civilian life. His home is the street where he found his 'family'. Tom, who dreams of Cambridge, Edgar, who is hopelessly in love with the whore Liane, Edda, who has lost all her illusions, the good-natured Gustl and the wise 'ambassador' who, despite everything, always sets the alarm. At night they find shelter in the basement of a building, during the day they try to survive by stealing, begging and drinking. This group is joined by fifteen-year-old Judith who has run away from home. She wants to get to know 'true life' and is fascinated by Hagen. She tries to get his attention, but he continues to give her the same advice: 'Go back to your parents'. Still, he eventually falls for her spontaneity, but promptly gets into trouble for dealing with a minor.
