Female Fugitive plot

Corrupt tycoon Jim Mallory plans to eliminate competition from his transportation company by carrying out a series of hijackings. However, the plan goes wrong and together with his wife Peggy he flees from the police. They each decide to go their own way. Bruce Dunning, a reclusive artist, takes Peggy in. Bruce accidentally reveals Peggy's identity and it isn't long before Jim's criminal business associates start chasing her.
