Jennifer Landers has the perfect life as a stay-at-home mom with a part-time graphics business. However, she begins to suspect that her husband Gartett, an advertising director, is having an affair. Her friends persuade her to visit Marcus, an old high school flame. She calls him and they meet for coffee and immediately schedule a follow-up dinner. Jennifer is happy with the attention, but then she finds out that her suspicions about her husband are wrong. She is overjoyed and realizes how much she loves him. But Marcus is not so easily put aside. He starts following her, begs her to talk to her and she gets threatening emails and phone calls. Jennifer and Garrett call the police but without proof they can't hold Marcus. Then she learns from Lisa, a lawyer from Dallas, that Marcus has done this to women before, with deadly consequences. They agree to a plan by Lisa to capture Marcus.
