Family Secrets plot

Three generations of women come together for one last weekend at Jessie's childhood home. Maggie, Jessie's recently widowed mother, has sold the house. Jessie and her daughter Sara arrive to help pack. It is clear that there are tensions between the three women. Especially Jessie is confronted with the past. Painful memories surface. Jessie had her daughter Sara while in college and left the child with her parents to pursue her career. She is convinced that Sara and Maggie have never forgiven her for that. Fearing that her daughter will make the same mistake, she cannot accept her daughter's growing interest in the opposite sex. She constantly criticizes her boyfriends and forces her to focus on her studies and career. During the last meal in the old house, emotions run high and the problems of the past and present become apparent.
