Family Motel plot

The wayward Ayan, a refugee from Somalia, has big dreams. In Canada she wants to show that she can provide for her family. Still, it's hard to keep everything together. The rent has been raised again and her teenage daughters need braces. Even with two jobs as a cleaning lady, it is difficult to send enough money to her husband and two sons who are still in East Africa. Ayan's trust is broken when she is unceremoniously evicted for late payment of the rent. Ayan and her daughters are banished to the slums of the city where they try to survive among other homeless families, whores and hobos.
