Family Flight plot

During a flight from San Diego to Florida, the Carlyle family is surprised by bad weather over the Rocky Mountains. They make an emergency landing in the Mexican desert, causing their plane to be badly damaged. However, the family members have their problems, which complicates their situation. Father Jacob (Rod Taylor) is a perfectionist, mother Florence (Dina Merrill) has an alcohol problem and son David (Kristoffer Tabori) feels misunderstood. When Jacob is injured during repairs, it's up to David to save his family.
