Fairfield Road plot
A young man is living his dream life: he has been offered a position as assistant to the senator and he is about to propose to his girlfriend. His life collapses one day when his boss is fired and his girlfriend is found to be committing adultery. To cope with his grief, he travels to a small town, where he planned to get engaged. There he falls in love with the owner of a bookshop. In addition, he participates in a local political election. Life slowly starts to look better again, until his ex-girlfriend shows up at his door and he is offered an important job in the big city.
