Extraordinary plot

The story centers on ultra-marathon athlete and college professor David Horton. All the time and energy he puts into his work and training for the marathons put a heavy burden on his marriage. David's body also suffers the necessary damage from the many kilometers, resulting in open heart surgery and permanent damage to his knees. His wife tries to convince him to hang up his running shoes, but David wants to inspire people one more time by running 2,900 miles across America. How does this end?
