"It was worth waiting for!"
Constance 'Connie' Newton succumbs to her boyfriend Bobby Brandon's repeated urging to come along to a party. She immediately regrets her decision and eagerly retreats to the nearest bathroom where she meets the composer Neil Hartley, who also wants to leave the party. After talking for a while, Neil offers to take Connie to his house and cook for her. Connie happily accepts Neil's offer. Neil immediately falls in love with Connie and convinces her to stay overnight.
