Esas No Son Penas plot
A day in the life of five friends from the Ecuadorian middle class, who meet for the first time after fourteen years. The run-up to the reunion gives a glimpse into the life of a thirty-something in Quito. Elena is abandoned by her husband without him knowing she was pregnant. Diana struggles with being a single mother. Marina has a lover in addition to her relationship. Tamara, Marina's younger sister, has a mild drug problem and Alejandra is terminally ill. The reunion confronts the friends with a reflection on their lives and the choices they have made.
