Er Nu Zhai plot
Accountant Ming (Cheung Wood Yau) and his wife (Tsi Lo Lin) are expecting a baby, but disaster strikes when they are involved in a car accident. As a result, they have a miscarriage and the couple decides to adopt a baby. What Ming and his wife don't know, however, is that the girl is the daughter of a colleague of Ming's, who makes every effort to make ends meet and thus ensure that his children can eat.
