Fred Leprince, a young fellow who is a student at the police academy, is one day found dead in the buildings where he is studying. His sister Émilie, who attends the same school, does not believe in the suicide thesis being put forward. Commander Anne Voreppe and Captain Chrystel Chesnot are charged with investigating the circumstances of the young man's death.
