Emergency Landing plot
"Daredevil Test Pilot vs. Society's Dizzest Deb!"
During World War II, due to a backlog of war orders, the 'Lambert Airplane' factory is unable to test a robot-controlled aircraft developed by test pilot Jerry Barton and weatherman 'Doc' Williams. Both wait for factory owner George B. Lambert, who plays golf with his spoiled daughter and actress-to-be, Betty. They send George their radio-controlled model, which Lambert has to notice. But Jerry lands with this model in a pool of water, right in front of Betty. Lambert nevertheless gives Jerry and Doc permission to test their remote-controlled robot pilot on one of his military planes. But it soon becomes apparent that spies for Germany are sabotaging the developments of the robot pilot. Jerry has to make an emergency landing with his plane and Jerry is then fired. Jerry wants to continue working on his invention at Doc's remote weather station, but Jerry and Doc also have to deal with the Nazi spies here.
