Elze Is Gilijos plot

"Love was all she had"

The fate of a generation is unraveled in this drama set in arid Prussia at the beginning of the last century. As a young girl, Elze is taken in by a friend of her father Mykolas, when her father is accused of attempted murder. There Elze falls in love with Mykolas' son. But it soon becomes apparent that this love cannot be approved by everyone.
