El Impostor plot

In the 1930s, wealthy Sebastian Heredia leaves his home in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to travel to the family estate in the Pampas. His family is concerned for his physical and mental health. They send Juan Medina, Sebastian's childhood friend, to check Sebastian's situation. Juan finds the highly unstable Sebastian trapped in a hopeless relationship with the Danish daughter of members of a religious cult. Unfortunately, Juan also becomes obsessed with the young woman, who seems to possess a special power, and Sebastian's suspicions only increase.
