El Farah plot

Under the pretense of celebrating a wedding, Zaynhom collects in his 'shaabi' neighborhood, raising enough money to buy a bus and start a new business. He uses his mother's only savings to fund the wedding and hopes for many gifts from the invitees, which is common in such events. Through the setting of a normal Egyptian neighborhood and a wedding, this film shows different Egyptian customs. From marital habits, extreme religion, drugs and crime, to the effect of the financial crisis on the common people.
