El Cantor plot
The last days of Chilean folk singer Victor Jara, nicknamed El Cantor. When the military rebelled against Salvador Allende's regime in 1973, many of his fans were killed, including Jara himself. On September 11 of that year, he was arrested during the coup and detained along with thousands of others in the Santiago Stadium. There he was soon recognized and then tortured. Then he was transferred to the National Stadium. His remains were found on September 15. The story, as we are told, is based on the memories of the singer's wife and family, living in exile in London.
