Eine Pyramide für Mich plot

A high-ranking professor looks back on the time around 1950. Then, as leader of a youth brigade, he took part in the construction of a dam, and during a business trip he sees old acquaintances: a woman he left and who had a son of him, and an old bitter man who had apparently turned against progress and whose homestead was destroyed by the youth brigade. Were these just sins of a naive generation?
