Andrea, a woman with no past or future plans, has just moved in with her new boyfriend Philipp and his son Martin. Father and son have to fill the void in their lives after the death of their wife and mother Hanna. Philipp is determined to leave the past behind; he deletes all the last remaining photos of Hanna. Martin finds it more difficult to cope with his loss. Gradually, Andrea pays more attention to Martin and becomes a welcome sounding board for the emotions of both men.
