Maan Laulu plot
Kurdish woman Rojîn has spent almost her entire life far from home, in Helsinki, where she works as an anesthesiologist in a hospital. She's now 40, but her everyday life isn't getting any easier: her relationship with her twelve-year-old daughter, Azad, is becoming increasingly strained, and her marriage to Ferhat is also showing cracks. Azad doesn't know she's adopted—just as Rojîn herself doesn't know the full story of her past. This changes when her father, Nîzam, comes to visit her from Sweden.
