Dyrygent plot

A violinist in a provincial Polish orchestra, whose husband is in charge of the company, meets a world-famous conductor while traveling in the US. This conductor turns out to have been in love with her mother in the past. The conductor then returns to Poland to conduct the orchestra and resume his old-time romance, this time with the daughter as a surrogate for the mother.
