"There are 10,000 police officers in the city of Los Angeles. These are not two of them."

Dare is a Los Angeles detective. After work, he fights crime by secretly playing his own judge and taking on the worst scum. At one point he becomes obsessed with a shadowy criminal who terrorizes the entire neighborhood. This shady figure is also at the center of an official investigation being led at the same time by determined Police Inspector Robert Morrison. As Dare gets closer and closer to his prey, it turns out that the entire police force is after them both. Now Dare has to turn a blind eye. And for the choice he makes, he will have to pay an unimaginable toll...
