Duel on the Mississippi plot
"The Roaring Story of the Notorious Lili Scarlet -- Gambling Queen of the Mississippi!"
Louisiana, 19th century. The Creole Lili Scarlet is involved in robberies on local plantations. To cover her illegal activities, Lili runs a gambling boat for the wealthy on the Mississippi. On this boat, Lili meets the aristocrat Jules Tulane, whose gambling debts are mounting. As collateral for his debts, Jules' son André serves as a kind of slave, in the service of Lili. It doesn't take long, however, before André falls in love with Lili. Lili's friend and knife puller Hugo Marat is not happy about that at all.
