Due Season plot

When Vicky starts singing for her graduating class, her father Robert has a heart attack and dies. After a while in college, Vicky is ready to enroll in music school. But when she gets home, she sees her Uncle Blake with a sign that says "for sale". Blake tells them that Robert's insurance hasn't paid the sum. They will lose the house without the money and Vicky can't go to music school. Vicky's mother, Gwen, tells Vicky to enroll. Gwen promises to challenge the insurance company.
