"Heart-Warming!"
Six-year-old orphaned girl Jenny rescues a Scottish collie, the sole survivor of a plane crash. The text on the dog's collar indicates that she was on her way to a medical lab where her blood will be used for the typhoid fever vaccine. dr. Steven Webster, the manager of this lab, meets with both Jenny and the dog and he adopts them both. Webster's fiancé Susan Moore isn't into that at all. Due to a conflict with Mayor Snyder, Webster's lab is destroyed and typhus escapes. Jenny is infected and is about to die.
