"For the sake of good there are those who will do bad."
Billy is a teenager. An outsider looking for the true meaning of his life. Day in, day out, he shuffles off at the local snack bar, returning home to his paralyzed father, whose own dreams of happiness have long disappeared in an alcoholic haze. Still, Billy tries to bond with his father, but Billy is unable to break through the many layers of pain and regret that surround his father. Frustrated, Billy longs to escape the dead-end existence that has engulfed his father, which now seems to be coming at him too. Only within the walls of his small bedroom does Billy really feel alive. Then he closes his eyes, and allows his vivid imagination to take control of him, to take him out of his gloomy surroundings into a world of fantasy.
