Dreaming Lhasa plot
Karma, a Tibetan filmmaker from New York, goes to Dharamsala in India to make a documentary about political refugees. Not only does Karma want to look for her own roots, things are also not going so well on the home front. In her work she gets help from Jigme, a musician who dreams of a life in America. Karma then meets the ex-monk Dhondup who, on behalf of his mother in Tibet, is looking for a man to give a mysterious silver box. During the search, Karma and Dhondup grow closer.
