Dove le Lacrime Aspettano plot

Large pools of sulfur-white water glisten in the evening sun by the Manziana caldera, near Rome. The wind blows through the hair of three children playing in the mud. The three siblings are named Zoe, Ettore, and Marta. Their laughter breaks the silence again and again. They are used to playing by themselves. When they go home, their mother is not there, and due to a stupid mistake by Zoe, they suddenly find themselves locked out. To get through the night, they will have to face the darkness, the sounds, and the unknown. But above all, they will have to face their own imagination.
